Will chlorine or salt water damage my clip in hair extensions?

It is not recommended that you swim while wearing your clip in hair extensions. Both chlorine and salt water can dry out your hair extensions potentially damaging them and wearing them out more quickly. Always remove your clip in hair extensions before you go swimming.

If you want to keep your clip in extensions shiny and beautiful for as long as possible, it is best to remove them before swimming and put them back in after once you have washed and dried your own hair thoroughly.

While you may love the look of long, luxurious hair extensions by the beach in those sunny summer months, it is not advised to wear them in the water. The salt water of the ocean or the chlorinated water of the pool will damage the clip in hair extensions and will tangle and mat them together which could cause irreversible damage to your clip in hair extensions.
